What we do
Claim Relief is your health insurance advocate. We consult and provide medical insurance assistance to our clients. We do not sell insurance and we do not employ agents. We work for our clients, not the insurance company, so our recommendations and assistance are always provided with our client's best interests in mind. Since we do not receive any commissions or compensation from insurers, we are paid by our clients in a straightforward, fee for service arrangement. It is this level of autonomy and advocacy that has earned Claim Relief unprecedented loyalty from our clients.

With over 80 years of collective experience across different insurance operations, the Claim Relief team specializes in working between our client, the insurer and provider, to ensure that claims are processed correctly and yield all benefits promised under the plan. We also have a generation of experience in assisting individuals and couples transitioning to Medicare from employer group or individual health plans, helping to navigate the best options based on our client's needs and preferences.

Founded in 1984 by Barbara Melman, Claim Relief Inc. was initially launched to help people with claim filings and appeals. We have broadened our scope over the years to address the needs of clients who seek independent, objective assistance with the various options available under Medicare, including our popular annual Medicare Part D Rx plan review and comparison service. For plan year 2021, we have saved our clients over $100,000 in prescription drug expenses by researching and recommending alternative Rx plans during the annual open enrollment.
